This Code of Conduct is a compilation of suggestions from the members of Orion Faction. Following these codes is recommended to ensure that Orion Faction remains both highly respected and honored. Beginning in the Starseige community, Orion Faction has always been regarded as having the friendliest and most skillful people. This has carried over to every game Orion has branched into. It is our goal to project this honor in all aspects of any game we play, from the barracks to the battlefields as well as the chat rooms and message boards...

Please read these guidelines with an open mind and take them to heart. Remember, when you wear the Orion Faction uniform, you represent the squad as a whole; to be a member of Orion Faction 'IS' to lead by example.


Orion Faction Code of Conduct

The following Code of Conduct is to be upheld by all members in any game that an Orion Faction member chooses to wear OF tags.

Orion Faction does NOT condone swearing or abusive language. Please be aware at all times that children also play these games. Orion Faction has Zero Tolerance for Foul Language on Public Servers, Voice Comms, IRC, in-game chat rooms and Forums. The first incident will result in a warning. The next verified incident will result in a hearing judged by the Orion Faction Council.

Orion Faction does NOT condone cheating. The use of cheats is prohibited on both public and private servers. A cheat can be, but not limited to third party programs, scripts, bugs in the game, and bot programs that violate the rules of the game established by the developer or give the player using them an advantage over all other players in the game. The first verified incident will result in a hearing judged by the Orion Faction Council.

Responding to antagonistic posts on the message boards is not recommended. The best way to handle these types of posts is to NOT handle them. Alert the command staff and let them take care of it.

All members of Orion Faction are expected to assist any player that is new to the game being played in any manner deemed reasonable under prevailing circumstances. If it is obvious that someone is new to the game, try to talk them through how to play and offer them some good, basic strategies. If they have a good attitude, invite them to join the squad! It will make our squad stronger and will enhance our reputation.

Whining on the servers is useless and it makes the game less enjoyable for all involved. If you have an issue to address it should be taken to the appropriate players message board to be addressed there. New players cannot ask the questions they need to if someone is whining constantly on the servers.

Orion Faction expects its members to wear OF tags when representing Orion Faction on the servers. Players are required to wear OF tags when playing on an OF server, participating in an OF function, including practices, scrimmages and matches. OF tags are required on open servers if you are using your enlist callsign.
